Dongguan Jinming Electronics, which specialized in mobile phone assembly, was founded in 2003, with an investment of US$ 6 million in the first phase.
    The plant now has more than 1500 staffs, 30% of them holding bachelor or higher degrees. It has four automatic production lines for mobile phone assembly, equipped with 16 sets of US“Agilent 8960”, 2 sets of US“Agilent 8922” and 2 sets of “CMD55”. Each of the production lines is equipped with 17 sets of computers and 8 sets of other test devices. The current annual production capacity of the plant is 2 million sets.
   To meet the rapid increasing market demands, the plant has expropriated another area of factory building of 16,080 square meters. This second project will be completed and put into operation in October 2005. The area of new workshop will reach 2,800 square meters, with 8 automatic production lines for mobile phone assembly. In plan, another US$ 4.8 million will be invested to construct the plant into highly automated production base with an annual production capacity of 5 million sets.

    Gionee Communication has two processing plants, one of which is Dongguan Jinzhong Electronics. It is a plant specialized in SMT (Surface Mounted Technology) of PCB (Printed Circuit Board), with a total fixed asset of US$ 10 million. It is a factory with building area of more than 11000 square meters and the number of staff is 800, among which the engineering and technical personnel number is 100. The plant has strong technical forces and advanced equipments. It has a SMT workshop and two assembling shops.
    The plant has 8 fully automatic high-speed production lines of SMT, 12 DIP, soldering lines and 4 assembly lines, equipped with 15 Panasonic and YAMAHA high speed SMT machines, 9 automatic solder printing machines, 8 full-sirocco reflux ovens (5 lead-free) and 7 full-automatic wave crest ovens (3 lead-free), with the average daily production capacity of 6 million points of SMT, 4 million points of components and with the average monthly production capacity of 0.36 million finished products.
    To keep the product quality under control, the Jinzhong Electronics has formulated strict quality management system, improved the quality management system and its processes continuously through the method of PDCA cycle and QQC. Up to now, the plant has passed the certifications of ISO9001: 2000,ISO14001: 1996 and GB/T28001: 2001 international quality system.
